IFRS Reporting Specialist
About the team
Our Finance Team at Flow Traders continuously seeks opportunities for improving its systems and methods, developing new ways to monitor and track data, and increasing transparency. Additionally, we manage and report on the firm’s results, staying up to date on new regulations and accounting standards and actively sharing knowledge of new developments within the global organization.
Our Amsterdam-based Finance Team is made up of 7 colleagues: two Financial Analysts, two Finance Administrators, one Group Controller, one Head of Finance and the Global Head of Finance, to whom the rest of the team reports. There are also Finance colleagues present in our London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York offices.
What you will do
The main duties are listed below, but please do keep in mind that this role may also involve a significant amount of ad hoc work.
- Assist in preparation of accurate and IFRS and ESG compliant financial statements and related disclosures
- Pro-actively identify and address both tactical and strategic accounting and reporting initiatives
- Develop and implement accounting models and reporting schedules in the financial statements
- Assist in the monthly financial accounting and reporting process, including reconciliations, journal entries and internal/external reporting preparation
- Support external audit requests during quarterly, half-year and annual reporting cycles
- Assist with various daily operational finance functions including process automation
- Work with the risk and operations teams to support the balance sheet and P&L accounting of our trading activities
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Assist in the data collection process for ESG required disclosures
- Develop the ESG disclosure schedules in the Annual Report, using Workiva
What you need to succeed
- University degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting qualification - ACCA/CIMA/CPA/RA or equivalent
- Working experience in IFRS standards
- Affinity for ESG Reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and drive to develop solutions for complex business problems
