IT Security Officer

As an IT security engineer, you play a key role in NN Bank's technological journey to become the digital retail bank of the Netherlands. NN Bank has created a cloud foundation and moved a large number of its applications to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to further improve the security of our cloud platforms and support our DevOps teams in their secure development of advanced applications and technologies. In addition to in-house developed and managed applications, NN Bank also uses SaaS solutions. Another role of the IT security engineer is to regularly assess the security of our solution providers.
The specific responsibilities of the IT security engineer include:
- Improving the security fundamentals for NN Bank
- Automating recurring manual work in IT security control activities and automating security requirements in our CI/CD pipelines and developing best practices and security standards with NN Bank's security officers
- Supporting and coaching DevOps teams in their secure software development process and promoting (cloud-native) application security
- As a Security Officer, you would also be assessing security documentation and providing advice to one of NN Bank's business domains
- Identifying current and emerging security technologies, trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and playing an active part in managing risks
- Assessing (new) service providers regarding their security

Wat je meebrengt
- At least 2 years working in a security related domain with hands on development experience.
- Understanding and familiarity with AWS / Azure
- Working knowledge of different DevOps tools
- Security certifications are good to have, although not mandatory
- Language skills: English. Dutch is considered an Asset, although not essential

You are part of the NN Bank IT Security and Control team, responsible for the information security of NN Bank. The team, consisting of four security officers and a security engineer, is part of the transformation and technology organization, and you are in the middle of it all. The team has technical and process specialists and, together, we keep NN Bank and its customers safe.
