Senior Electronic FX Sales

Through our global sales force in corporation with the clients segments within the bank, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, market information and analysis.Electronic Foreign Exchange Sales team (eFX Sales) is one of the most important business unit within Global Markets and within Foreign exchange value chain. In coordination with Sales, eTrading/Trading and the Grids/IT, eFX sales team is set up to ensure and deliver the best services to our clients via our electronic platforms. eFX sales team is required to understand macro oriented markets while developing a primary expertise in electronic trading space.

Your job

This role is to take a lead and support the head of eFX sales team and sales team within GM in the day to day work covering clients, helping grow revenues, protect the current market share, enhance our electronic offering to our clients, problems solving and help managing the desk in often volatile markets with many areas requiring attention in the same time. In addition to the below:

  • In corporation with sales team, manage the clients’ portfolio on the electronic platforms to protect/ extend the current market share, to increase clients’ revenues and to ensure optimal servicing to our clients.
  • Analyse clients’ data with reports and tools to optimize the client pricing parameters based on client dealing style.
  • Discuss and define with sales, trading the optimization of our pricing policy based on volumes and monetization of transactions and taking into account client profit versus risk and cost.
  • Make strategic plan to expand the current client base and grow market share on the electronic platforms while complying with all enforced regulation (including Mifid II).
  • Understand client needs and execution objectives to ensure optimal client configuration and enhance the current client e-offering to meet their changing requirements.
  • Expand Global Market’s electronic product offering, not only FX but preferably focusing on the full range of asset classes available within GM.
  • Drive together with sales, trading and the Grids technological and organisational changes to enhance our electronic product offering.
  • Introduce cross-sell opportunities within GM and other bank product / client teams to support and build out ABN AMRO’s general client electronic proposition
  • Assist in training in coaching other team members to improve their sales skills as well as their technical skills.

Your profile

  • Strong knowledge of FX and interest rates asset classes and willingness to expand knowledge base
  • Excellent Sales skills and proven track record in covering corporate and financial institutions accounts
  • Strong analytical background
  • Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills
  • Electronic sales aptitude and vision
  • Comfortable, competent in front of clients and capable of understanding their needs and addressing their concerns.
  • Excellent in English, knowledge of Dutch is preferred, other languages are a pre
  • Educated to degree level (MSc degree in Econometrics, Economics, Business, Finance, or equivalent)
  • CFA, MBA and/or post-doc educations are a pre
  • Technological skillset is a pre
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and pro activeness to increase GM footprint
  • Sales/Customer focus
  • Self-motivated
  • Affinity with and drive for being involved in innovation
  • Challenger of the status quo, always striving to do things more efficiently
  • Team Player
  • Clear, concise and transparent communicator
  • Experience with working in complex international environments and willingness to travel if needed
  • Ability to multi task across various products and locations within GM
