Your role

As a Zanders Senior Manager Asset Management, you will join our ‘Financial Institutions’ team, which consists of 125 highly qualified financial risk management consultants with a quantitative background, of which 80 in the Netherlands. The ambitious, entrepreneurial and collaborative team is passionate about supporting our clients with designing, implementing and reviewing their risk management policies and models.

In the role of Senior Manager Asset Management, you will be responsible for further developing Zanders’ business for the Asset Management sector and for leading a variety of projects at asset managers. These involve supporting asset managers with developing investment and risk models, governance and policies, as well as product design.

As Senior Manager Asset Management, you will manage eager consultants, end-to-end client relations and develop new business.

You are contributing to the continued growth of Zanders’ Asset Management practice. Whether you want to develop new markets, products, clients or expertise areas, there is ample room for your initiatives and ambitions.

This role will bring you a variety of tasks and responsibilities:

Developing Zanders’ business for the Asset Management sector in the Netherlands
Advising Asset Managers on their investment and risk management challenges from a strategic perspective and developing hands-on solutions
Managing investment and risk management projects. Taking a leading role in decision-making and coaching project team members, ensuring timely delivery of high quality, value added solutions for your clients
Participating in networking activities such as presentations and events, RFP’s and account management
Pro-actively researching market and services/product developments
Participating and hosting internal and external knowledge delegation sessions, such as round-tables, guest lecture events and internal talent trainings

Skills to be successful

A proven track record with at least 8 years of relevant experience in risk management for asset managers
Thorough knowledge of investment products and Asset Management services
Strong interest in building and maintaining client relationships
Having a strong network of decision makers in the field of asset management
Ambitious, strategic thinker
Strong skills in project execution and delivering feasible high quality solutions
Master’s degree in econometrics, mathematics, quantitative finance or related
Experience with relevant regulations for asset managers (e.g., AIFMD, UCITS, MiFID 2, SFDR)
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred
Fluency in English is essential and fluency in Dutch is preferred
